Well, Lexi was getting better last weekend, but on Sunday night, she started to cough again. Monday morning was worse, she was sneezing and coughing. Oh no! I think she caught a new bug on top of the old one that wasn’t completely gone. I have a feeling that she might have got it at the Vet’s office. It was just about a week before that she went in to get her 2nd shots. The women at the front desk were gushing and holding her. She could have picked up something, especially being weaker from the vaccinations.
Well here it is on Friday morning, and she’s still coughing. It’s not a very productive cough either. I think they call it “soft” – I was in contact with the Vet the other day, and I decided to just wait a bit more. But now I think I have to call to get some anti-biotic meds. I am just afraid she’s going to get worse. She hasn’t gotten any better.
Note on Mindy: she was grouchy over the weekend, then sneezed and coughed on Monday. But has been fine after. They have been playing like crazy all week, and both have been eating like pigs!
UPDATE: spoke to the doctor today, and we are just going to wait it out. She’s still as active as ever, and eating wonderfully. I started to give her honey; the vet says that giving it to puppies isn’t the same as human infants. There shouldn’t be any problems.
